Tahiti Aggressor charters depart from Rangiroa and are available at a special, introductory rate of $2,095 per person, double occupancy through December 2002.
This is one of the most exciting, unexplored diving destinations in the world. Tahiti diving is best described as fast-paced, adventure diving. You start at the mouth of the pass, sharks are everywhere, eagle rays fly by, schools of thread-fin jacks cruise the blue, and then the current pulls you through the pass.
The 16-passenger Tahiti Aggressor is a 106-foot long catamaran offering state-of-the-art diving facilities and luxurious personal accommodations such as eight private cabins, a spacious salon, hot tub and wet bar. There are seven luxurious air-conditioned staterooms, each with two berths. Four staterooms are located on the lower level and three are on the upper level. Stateroom features include: private head and shower, individual climate control, a cassette stereo system and a port window, which offers great views and plenty of natural light. The Undersea Hunter and the Sea Hunter Offer live-aboard experiences that are unmatched in the comforts, the food, the excellent service, and of course, the spectacular locations they provide. The boats offer full technical diving support and courses. During one of the trips a diver can become certified in diving with Nitrox and Rebreathers. Nitrox allows divers to have longer bottom time at any given depth and less fatigue and a clearer head, and rebreathers allow divers to come within feet of the most spectacular animals in the world, something impossible with noisy bursts of bubbles.
The Sea Hunter is 115 feet of live-aboard comfort and convenience, which seems to have been built with trips to Cocos in mind. She is a rare hybrid, combining a large working platform and powerful machinery (she is equipped with two GM 700 horsepower engines) of a functional work boat, with the comfortable and functional interior of a modern yacht.
The boat and her crew specialize in providing excellence in service, food, and underwater excitement and beauty. She has eight cabins for a total capacity of 18 passengers (three double-bed staterooms with private bath, two triples with private bath, and three doubles with private bath). Diver facilities are extremely well designed with individual gear storage, private camera/strobe storage shelves with individual 110 volt AC power, and a private dryer for clients' towels and bathing suits.
The chase boats are an asset worth noting on the Sea Hunter: At times rubber inflatables are not enough to get divers where they want to go in the wind-blown vastness of the Pacific. Sea Hunter has two 24' fiberglass cruisers, which provide the stability that is necessary at Cocos Island. We puts 9 or less divers in each chase boat and take them to distinct sites for every dive.
This is a superbly comfortable, stable and spacious vessel, with everything a serious diver/photographer could wish.
Undersea Hunter Already a capable and well-proven research vessel, the Undersea Hunter was modified to include six new cabins, built with conveniences that surpass all expectations, to accommodate 14 passengers. With fuel capacity of 40 tons and water tankage of 26 tons, her blue water capability is almost unlimited. The Undersea Hunter is dedicated to bringing civilized comfort to delightfully uncivilized gems like Cocos Island. (See our Special!)

The salon, located on the main level, is an attractively furnished area designed for comfort and relaxation. It features a complete entertainment center with TV, VCR, stereo with compact disc player, and a well stocked library of books and magazines. The dining area is separate from the main salon and has two large tables with chairs and a buffet counter. A built-in slide screen with 35mm projector is available for slide presentations.
Exiting the salon and traveling toward the stern of the Okeanos Aggressor, guests enter the large dive deck. Each guest has his/her own dive station with locker for gear storage. Air and nitrox tanks are conveniently located on the back of locker, always hooked up and ready for diving. A large, three-tier camera table, with low pressure air nozzles, charging stations, camera rinse tank and wet suit racks are located on this spacious deck. There is a head and two freshwater showers. A large dive platform is located only inches from the water level and just a few steps from the dive deck. Most diving is done from the dive tenders, however, the platform is great for snorkeling between dives. An E-6 film processing lab is on board. The photo pro is eager to give tips or a comprehensive course with specialty certification.
