More Than 2,000 Islands Await You

Micronesia
consists of four large island groups: the Marianas archipelago, which includes Guam; The Caroline Islands and the states of Yap, Truk, Phonpei and Kosrae, which make up the Federated States of Micronesia; the Republic of Palau; and the Marshall Islands. Made up of more than two thousand islands scattered over three million square miles of the Pacific, Micronesia is a mix of "high" volcanic islands and "low" sand and coral atolls.
Guam, a tropical paradise
Just 30 miles long and less than 9 miles wide, Guam is the largest of Micronesia's islands. Guam is also America's gateway to the West Pacific and Asia, and is a booming international resort destination. Luxurious high-rise hotels dominate the beach front at Tumon and Agana, where white sand beaches are ringed by coral reefs and crystal clear waters.
Three hundred varieties of coral make Guam a diver's delight, and whales, dolphins, mantas and skip jacks are just some of the sea life seen offshore. The waters at Asan Beach contain several pieces of submerged military equipment embedded in the colorful coral reefs. Popular wreck dives include a World War II Japanese "Zero", a U.S. tanker and a World War I German cruiser.
