Bay Islands of Roatan The beautiful Caribbean island of Roatan in the Bay Islands of Honduras offers some of the world's best SCUBA diving. The island is surrounded by the world's second largest coral reef, hugging most of the shore. This provides calm, clear beaches for swimming and snorkeling plus many varieties of sea life. Roatan is not as "touristy" as many Caribbean islands, but you will find plenty of activities and things to see and learn about the island and Honduran culture. Resorts/Dive Operators Anthony’s Key Resort - With 50 private Tahitian style bungalows nestled around a secluded lagoon, this resort provides not only excellent diving but a diversity of "surface" activities. Utila Aggressor - Divers aboard the 14-passenger Utila Aggressor will explore the sheer walls and wrecks surrounding Utila as well as offshore sea mounts. These pristine sea mounts, or banks are a Caribbean frontier that have yet to be explored by divers. Utila is world-famous for whale sharks and Aggressor guests may have the opportunity to swim with these migrating mammoths. Tobago Tobago is totally unspoiled as far as development. They call it the last of the "unspoiled Caribbean." This strip of island is just 41 x 14 kilometers and with its' rolling hills, palm-lined beaches, luch tropical rain forests and pristine coral reefs, it is a wonderful secret to explore. Tobago is one of the southernmost islands in the Caribbean archipelago. The island enjoys a tropical climate. Dry season is from January to May, the wet season is from June to December.
