"The Enchanted Islands" of the Galapagos are located 600 miles west of Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean. The archipelago consists of 13 major islands, five of which are inhabited. The Island's fascinating volcanic geology, as well as its rich flora and fauna, have been admired and studied by numerous travelers, scientist and nature-lovers. Scientists are still faced with a mystery how such a large diversity of species could develop in a remote location like the Galapagos Islands. One of the first to visit the Galapagos was none other than Charles Darwin. Fascinated by the unique species found in the archipelago, his five-week stay gave him the idea that led to his controversial Theory of Evolution.

You'll encounter a spectacular array of animal and plant species, many found no where else in the world. Penguins, marine iguanas, sea lions, golden rays, mantas and turtles are just of a fraction of the marine creatures you'll see at dive sites off Seymour, Santiago, Santa Cruz, Darwin and Wolf Islands. Galapagos is best known for its pelagics such as dolphins, pilot whales and sharks! These rocky islands are a magnet for white-tip and hammerheads. Whale sharks are also frequently encountered.
